Mom: Do you watch Letterman?
Me: No, not really.
Mom: Yeah, me neither. But my co-worker's son is going to be on it tonight. Because he's in town...
Me: Do you mean in New York?
Mom: Yeah, he's in New York, performing at that place where you perform when you've made it really big... what's it called... Carnegie Hall.
Me: What's his name?
Mom: Oh, what is it? Martin something... Martin Dosh.
Me: He's on tour with Andrew Bird right now!
Mom: Andrew Bird? Yeah, that sounds right. You know, he's just this skinny guy with a beard, he doesn't look at all like you'd expect out of a famous musician.
Me: Mom, that's what they all look like.

On Friday the reigning World’s Oldest Person passed away in Portugal, passing the title on to Gertrude Baines, a 114-year old in Los Angeles.
